Hello,

As an integrative therapist, I draw on a variety of theories and approaches that I tailor to each individual’s needs. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, or something extremely complex, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

Many people seek therapy for a wide range of reasons. You may be experiencing:
Through therapy, I help individuals gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their experiences, learn coping strategies, and make meaningful changes in their lives. No matter what you’re facing, you don’t have to go through it alone.
As an integrative therapist, I believe that each person is unique, and so too should their therapy be. I use a blend of therapeutic approaches tailored to your specific needs, drawing from various methods.
Underpinned by Transactional Analysis (TA) my therapeutic approach that uses TA helps individuals understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, with the goal of fostering positive change. TA is a model of personality and communication that focuses on how people interact with each other (transactions) and how these interactions are shaped by internal psychological states, known as ego states. In TA-based psychotherapy, individuals explore the Parent, Adult, and Child ego states to gain insights into their emotional responses and interpersonal dynamics. In this way, psychotherapy underpinned by TA not only helps individuals improve their mental health but also empowers them to take control of their interactions and relationships.
Therapy is a collaborative process, and I’m here to listen, support, and guide you in whatever way feels right for you.
Deciding to start therapy can feel daunting, especially if it’s your first time. Here’s what you can expect when you work with me:
Choosing the right therapist is an important decision. Here’s why I believe I can offer the right support for you:
My goal is to help you navigate life’s difficulties and empower you to make positive changes in a way that feels right for you.
I work with individuals facing a wide range of issues. You may find therapy beneficial if you’re experiencing:
Psychotherapy, sometimes referred to as “talking therapy,” is a powerful tool designed to help individuals manage emotional challenges, mental health conditions, and life’s inevitable stressors. It involves speaking with a trained therapist or counsellor, who listens without judgement and offers guidance tailored to your unique situation.
There are many other approaches as well, and the best therapy depends on individual needs and therapist expertise.
Finding the right therapist or counsellor is key to mental wellness. Start by checking their credentials to ensure they are licensed and trained in the type of therapy you need. Look for specialties if you have specific issues, such as trauma or addiction. Trust your instincts about how comfortable and understood you feel with them, and don't hesitate to seek a different professional if needed. Finally, ask questions about their therapy approach, specialties, and how they handle particular issues.
The length of therapy depends on your unique needs and goals. There is no one size fits all and we will work together until we both agree on a suitable time frame, however this could be open-ended.
Yes, everything discussed in therapy remains confidential. As a registered member of the BACP, I adhere to strict ethical guidelines regarding client confidentiality.
Therapy can be beneficial for anyone looking to explore their emotions, develop coping strategies, or gain deeper insights into their behaviours and relationships. If you’re unsure, feel free to contact me for a free consultation.
Psychotherapy is a broad term that encompasses various approaches to treating mental and emotional issues through talk and other therapeutic methods. It often involves working over a longer period and exploring issues in depth, including methods like psychodynamic therapy and humanistic therapy.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is generally shorter-term and more solution focused. It aims to identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviours with practical strategies and exercises.
In summary, psychotherapy can involve long-term, in-depth exploration, CBT is a more solution focused and often shorter-term approach.
